Fine Increments updates Wavefield to v1.0.6 - Smoother Wavetable Import/Export

Fine Increments has updated Wavefield to version 1.0.6.

The new release is focused on getting wavetables in and out of the plugin faster and cleaner, and playing nice with wavetable synths for easier imports. Wavefield is a spectral filter plugin that morphs in real time through wavetable frame shapes using direct FFT bin gain mapping to give you complex, organic spectral morphing in real time, without relying on convolution like the other few wavetable-to-spectrum plugins. It's ultra-clean phase in Magnitude mode allows you to use it on important program material you wouldn't otherwise use spectral plugins on.

A brand new type of spectral processing. In this release, structured wavetable imports now detect and preserve frame boundaries to make sure the exact table you authored/imported is the table Wavefield shows. Frame size is auto-detected from embedded metadata, so the import dialog is skipped when the size is already declared so you can get to the fun part faster.

On the way out, WAV exports embed that same metadata so other wavetable synths can easily detect the correct size on import, and exports now match the editor display exactly without you having to explicitly select the size. Short single-cycle WAVs also import more cleanly now. This caps a steady run of updates since launch: Live-host support is in, Playback Mode is now DAW-automatable, input monitoring works in transport-linked mode while the host is stopped (the wavetable freezes at its last position so live input passes through the frozen shape), the KF Gate handles a wider range of material, the visualization's dB scale drags-to-zoom down to -144 dB, and the editor's snap grid is now user-adjustable.
