Floating Points Delves into Classical Roots with Ballet-Inspired Album

Floating Points is trading in his synthesizers for a ballet barre. Sam Shepherd's latest album, Mere Mortals, features a haunting rendition of Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake-inspired piece "Her Gift", which was originally commissioned by the London Contemporary Dance Theatre. The 10-track album sees Floating Points pushing the boundaries of classical music with brainy electronica.
